Coupled nonequilibrium growth equations: self-consistent mode coupling using vertex renormalization
We find that studying the simplest of the coupled nonequilibrium growth equations of Barabasi by self-consistent mode coupling requires the use of dressed vertices. Using the vertex renormalization, we find a roughening exponent which already in the leading order is quite close to the numerical value.

– We consider a toy model for glassy dynamics of colloidal suspensions: a single Brownian particle diffusing among immobile obstacles. If Gaussian factorization of static density fluctuations is assumed, this model can be solved without factorization approximation for any dynamic correlation function. The solution differs from that obtained from the ideal mode coupling theory (MCT). The latter ...
متن کاملDynamics of supercooled liquids : density fluctuations and Mode Coupling Theory
We write equations of motion for density variables that are equivalent to Newtons equations. We then propose a set of trial equations parameterised by two unknown functions to describe the exact equations. These are chosen to best fit the exact Newtonian equations. Following established ideas, we choose to separate these trial functions into a set representing integrable motions of density wave...
متن کاملSelf-consistent mode-coupling approach to one-dimensional heat transport.
In the present Rapid Communication we present an analytical and numerical solution of the self-consistent mode-coupling equations for the problem of heat conductivity in one-dimensional systems. Such a solution leads us to propose a different scenario to accommodate the known results obtained so far for this problem. More precisely, we conjecture that the universality class is determined by the...
متن کاملSelf-consistent mode-coupling theory for the viscosity of rodlike polyelectrolyte solutions.
A self-consistent mode-coupling theory is presented for the viscosity of solutions of charged rodlike polymers. The static structure factor used in the theory is obtained from polymer integral equation theory; the Debye-Huckel approximation is inadequate even at low concentrations. The theory predicts a nonmonotonic dependence of the reduced excess viscosity eta(R) on concentration from the beh...
